What Today Has Taught Me

Lessons from March 19th: The influence of index cards and the Power of Gamification.

Itried a new technique I learned today, which is using index cards. Students write high-frequency words on these cards with their names on the back. They then have decks of cards, which they are working on mastering throughout the week. This makes it a competition between themselves and the class. This last aspect needs to be explicitly mentioned, as we want to foster a class community.
